§ Klyr vs Cursor or Claude Code alone

Your coding agent can read transcripts. It just can't remember what it decided, or refuse to invent a theme. Klyr is the memory and the gate around it.

If you build with Cursor or Claude Code, you already have the cheapest synthesis tool there is: paste your interview transcripts into the chat and ask for themes. FAQ

Can't I just paste my transcripts into Cursor or Claude Code and get the same themes?

For a single session, largely yes, and we'd tell you to do exactly that if that's all you need. The difference shows up over time. The agent re-reads from scratch every session, will invent a theme without a real quote behind it, and reasons only over what's in the current context window. Klyr keeps a persistent evidence-to-outcome graph, enforces a citation gate that auto-drops uncited themes, and ranks bets across all your accumulated evidence, not just today's paste.

Does Klyr replace my coding agent?

No. Klyr feeds it. The end of the loop is a Build Pack, a PRD, acceptance criteria, and a coding-agent prompt that you paste straight into Cursor or Claude Code to ship. Klyr's job is to make sure what you hand the agent is cited, ranked, and remembered after the session ends. You still build where you already build.

Why does 'the agent forgets' actually matter if the synthesis is good?

Because the synthesis is only step one. The expensive question isn't 'what are the themes in this batch'. It's 'which bet should we make, given everything we've learned, and did the last one work?' That answer depends on memory the agent structurally can't keep: past evidence, dead ends, and shipped outcomes. When the session ends, the agent loses all of it. Klyr is the layer that holds it.

Isn't cited synthesis the whole value? Klyr and the agent both do it.
